The UltraBOOST, a contemporary runner with a light flexible Primeknit upper and adaptive BOOST™ sole, is shifted to occupy a similar space. adidas Consortium x Highs and Lows EQT Running Support 93
Perth, Western Australia is among the most remote urban areas on the planet – being over 2.000km away from the nearest city. From this outpost, clothing and footwear retailer Highs and Lows opened its first store in 2005, which is located on the far west of the vast desert that makes up 1.4 million km2 of mainland Australia. It is this unique location and relationship with the dry, arid, inhospitable expanse that provides the inspiration for HAL's EQT Running Support 93.
To venture along the long isolated roads of the Australian outback requires a tough vehicle and a tougher mentality. This EQT is based on the muscle cars that rose to cinematic and cultural significance during the 1970s and 1980s. An era where cars were gutted, hybridized and pushed to their performance limits. This approach to internal and external modifications to a vehicle is often referred to as “Frankensteining”.
But this is no monstrosity, as the classic 90s runner’s silhouette remains intact; the modification has taken place to the material used. Vamp, quarter panel, and “Burrito” tongue are canvas, while the remaining upper is leather. Subtle accents include the red highlights on heel and outsole, the sand colored speckles on the black midsole, as well as the gradient effect on the EQT's prominent lacing system.
The EQT came after the iconic muscle cars, but it is from an era of tough runners. The early 90s were a period when immediate style and performance converged on the feet of runners around the world. This year they are back on the feet of clued-up, history conscious footwear enthusiasts.
Just take these out running and kick up some dust for that super authentic outback look!

New adidas Consortium Saturday 11.19.16

adidas Consortium Packer NMD Runner PK
Packer Shoes was around before the modern footwear brands, major sports leagues or any kind of sneaker culture. A family business founded in Yonkers, New York, in 1907, it has been retailing sporting apparel ever since. It has a long and proud history, has witnessed much change and has a unique awareness of sporting heritage.
For the latest adidas Consortium collaboration, Packer has created an NMD Runner in a colorway that pays tribute to this long legacy and its vast knowledge in the  field. Bold and simple, vibrant and fresh, but also steeped in history, the colors conjure the image of athletic apparel worn in years bygone.
With the NMD, adidas has firmly established a philosophy that emphasizes the close relationship between heritage design references and progressive product innovation. Launched as part of the Originals range, it is equipped with a boost sole, flexible upper - Primeknit in this case - and an elasticated ribbed collar for sock-like comfort.
It is almost as if the sneaker’s colorist has time-travelled forward from the mid-1980s. A light blue/indigo upper with navy and turquoise detailing plus  ashes of red combine on a shoe reminiscent of the iconic track suits from that era. Inspired by a vintage piece from the adidas vault, Packer reminds us of the rush of color so omnipresent in sportswear 30 years ago.
The adidas Consortium x Packer NMD Runner PK takes established colors and presents them in a way that looks completely 2016. It is a bold statement in an often-monochrome marketplace.

adidas Consortium X End. Clothing NMD Chukka
In recent years, the North East of England has become one of the more unlikely fashion hotspots, led by the rise of Newcastle based retailer, END. Clothing. Since 2005 it has grown from a small, humble ‘cool-guy’ store to a three-story emporium on one of the city’s major thoroughfares as well as an online authority on men’s clothing and footwear.
END.’s reputation is built upon quality and attention to detail. This is evident not just in the clothing and footwear selection but also in meticulously curated look books, an ultra-sleek retail environment, as wall as a general devotion to a strong, contemporary design aesthetic.
For its adidas Consortium collaboration, END. has chosen the NMD Chukka. The execution and materials take inspiration from the barren terrain of Saharan Africa, the 3.5 million square miles of undulating sand dunes which sprawl across the continent.
The NMD’s deep green color, as well as its geometric, honeycombed upper are references to cacti, one of the few plants capable of growing and thriving in such environments.

adidas Consortium Saint Alfred Gazelle OG GTX
The latest adidas Consortium footwear comes in collaboration with Saint Alfred, the retailer and brand based in Wicker Park, Chicago. Saint Alfred and adidas Consortium re-imagine the classic adidas Gazelle, combining considered premium materials with durable technology and timeless style.
The Gazelle has travelled the globe. For almost five decades it has proved to be a sneaker that can endure performance on field and everyday wear: thrashed by skateboarders, worn by soccer/football fans, and on stage by rappers and guitarists. Generally perceived as a summer shoe, this iteration seeks to rebuff that.
Chicago is a style and cultural powerhouse but life in the Midwestern city requires apparel that functions. The city is known for its unpredictable weather and this Gazelle is designed to both withstand harsh conditions while still looking refined.
The subtle off-white suede upper has been treated to be water repellent and the lining is reinforced with a GORE-TEX® membrane - breathable and weather resistant – with a tongue gusset to keep the interior dry. Heel, collar and tongue are made from soft leather and the Gazelle’s classic silhouette is undisturbed by the design innovations.
This year the Gazelle is having a real moment with a contemporary style-conscious crowd. adidas Consortium and Saint Alfred have designed the shoe for 2016 with the understated treatment it deserves.

New adidas Consortium in Store and Online Saturday 10.15.16

adidas Consortium x Undefeated EQT Support ADV
The EQT Support ADV is a recent modernization of the original 1993 EQT Support. It takes the classic silhouette as a basis and brings it racing into late 2016 with contemporary materials. A sneaker designed for comfort made even more comfortable.
Undefeated’s EQT arrives in a low-key black and off-white colorway; the kind of footwear that can sneak under the radar in everyday situations but still proves to be an eye-catcher with the heads, nevertheless.
The sock-like upper is made of matte neoprene with subtle leather overlays providing a combination of stability and flexibility. While there is a super understated dark camouflage pattern on the translucent heel support, off-white serves as a more striking contrast on the otherwise monochrome execution. The lighter details are found on the sides of the soles which extend up the sneakers’ body via its lacing system. There are the off-white chain stitch seams as well as co-branded tongue labels.
Initially designed to provide runners with unparalleled comfort, this model maintains that standard while elevating the sneaker through modern innovation and aesthetic.
