AIR TO THE THRONE: THE NIKELAB AIR MAX 1 ROYAL

NikeLab celebrates Air Max Day with the introduction of the NikeLab Air Max 1 Royal. The silhouette is the first of NikeLab’s new Royal proposition, which elevates Nike icons with premium materials and construction.
The NikeLab Air Max 1 Royal features a synthetic suede upper with deluxe detailing, such as embellished stitching, a debossed Swoosh and leather heel wrap. The leather sockliner adds a supplementary touch of luxury, while memory foam in the collar enhances comfort.

The pinnacle construction extends to the midsole, where buffed Phylon adds an element of artistry to the silhouette. The rubber outsole stays true to the original Air Max 1.

Safari print has been around for nearly three decades. Born from the mind of Tinker Hatfield and found on the 1987 Air Safari, the unique print has since appeared everywhere from the pitch to half pipes.
The Air Max 1 'Safari,' reminiscent of a former collaborative Air Max release, is updated with new materials to create a different look from the originator. Two-toned, heavy suede and a translucent glow-in-the-dark outsole help create the new appearance for the 2016 release.
