New adidas Consortium Online and in Store Saturday 2.14.15

adidas Consortium 10th Anniversary Superstar Pack
In 2005, adidas Originals celebrated 35 years of one of its most iconic silhouettes: the Superstar. As part of the celebrations, a capsule collection of Superstars was created in collaboration with a handful of the world’s most respected footwear retailers and named The Consortium Series.
Ten years on, Consortium has become a mark in its own right, a guarantee of quality in material and construction, a seal of approval from the most important retailers in the sneaker industry. Exploring the archive and more recently employing adidas’s freshest technologies, Consortium has produced some of the brand’s greatest partnerships and collaborations.
Footpatrol:
In 2005 London’s Footpatrol created an understated tonal shoe in military green suede and leather. For their 10th Anniversary Consortium Superstar they have kept the one-color approach, this time delivering a shoe in premium terracotta croc embossed leather. The years 2005 and 2015 are stamped into leather heel tabs, whilst Footpatrol branding is embroidered towards the rear of each shoe in cream. Soft leather lining and pig-skin suede Three-Stripes add tonal texture. As usual materials and construction are of the highest quality with Consortium detailing complimenting the lace aglets, suede sockliner and interior tongue label.

adidas Consortium Superstar x Neighborhood
Neighborhood‘s 2005 Superstar was a predominantly black affair and the 10th Anniversary Consortium Superstar holds to the tradition with distinctive black croc embossed leather and contrasting smooth leather lace-stay and heel tab. adidas Consortium Superstar x Dassler
In 2005 adidas Originals created a homage to their founder and namesake, adding a picture of Adi Dassler to the heel of an otherwise faithful remake of the OG vintage Superstar.
Their 10th Anniversary Consortium Superstar flips the colorway with a premium soft black leather upper complimented by white leather heel tab and lateral Three- Stripes. Adi’s face features once again on the heel of both shoes in debossed black and white, whilst the Superstar’s classic tooling and toebox come in vintage off- white. Laces offered in Black or White feature Consortium aglets whilst the 10th Anniversary branding is featured on the inside tongue label and suede footbed.
adidas Consortium Superstar x UNDFTD
Undefeated’s black leather Superstar of 2005 was the first of many collaborations between the brands. Ten years later they celebrate their long and fruitful partnership with a luxurious remake of a shoe that holds special significance to Undefeated founder James Bond.
The UNDFTD 10th Anniversary Consortium Superstar features an all white leather upper with reptilian detailing, complemented by an off white leather lining to match the toe box and sole unit. The vintage adidas Superstar box logo appears in gold just behind the Three-Stripes, whilst Undefeated’s own 5-strike logo is embossed subtly on the lateral heel of both shoes. The shoe comes with three sets of monochromatic laces, one of which features Undefeated branding throughout.

New adidas Consortium in Store and Online Friday 12.12.14

Adidas Consortium Superstar ‘Made in France’
From its humble beginnings on the basketball courts to becoming a regular fixture in popular culture time and time again, the Superstar has truly become royalty in sneaker culture. Since its introduction to the game in 1969, the Superstar has gone from hardwood floors to concrete streets to red carpets and back again.
Like many of adidas’ most revered archive silhouettes, the Superstar was originally released under ‘La marque aux 3 bandes’ and manufactured in the Detwiller area of East France.
Warming up to the Superstar’s 45th anniversary in 2015, adidas Originals have teamed up with Ateliers Heschung, a family run factory who manufactured shoes for adidas France in the 1970s, to create a special ‘Made in France’ Consortium edition of this much loved silhouette.
Constructed in luxurious premium leather, the Superstar’s upper is stitched to is distinctive rubber toe cap and tooling with traditional hand-held techniques.  In keeping with the original, the three stripes and unbranded heel-tab are executed in smooth black leather whilst the crisp white upper is complimented by a subtle vintage ivory tone throughout the shell-toe, outsole and soft leather lining.
Proudly presenting its stamp of high quality construction and materials is the classic “Made in France” logo on the tongue.

New in Store Saturday 6.8.13

New adidas Consortium in Store Saturday 6.8.13.
Adidas Superstar 80s.  Back in the Days.

In 1969, when the Superstar was first unleashed, New York was beginning to establish itself as the epicentre of graffiti culture. As the volume, detail and size of graffiti tags grew over the subsequent decade-and-a- half, so did the status of these low top versions of the Pro Model basketball shoe.
The Superstar, the first ever leather low tops, was originally championed solely by top-level ball players but this iconic shell toe shoe eventually transcended the court, making its way onto the streets and becoming an inherent and vital part of youth culture. In the early 80s, the worlds of grafitti and hip-hop, both with strong foundations in the Bronx, began to become intertwined as they both started to make mainstream waves. The Superstar was the shoe of choice for many of the major protagonists of these NY-based movements.
The shoes feature soft nubuck for the upper combined with supreme snakeskin stripes and heel tab, soft leather for both lining and tongue. The shoes come with a special tongue construction and are wearable without laces – like‚ Back In The Days. They each come with regular off- white and extra fat laces matching the stripes color.  Special b/w graffiti artwork for sockliner and wrapping paper to round out the pack.
