With a design that unifies athletics and aesthetic like never before, adidas Originals presents a brand new footwear model for 2015 - the Tubular. Born from some of the brand’s most creative contemporary minds, the Tubular blends tactile elements and fearless perspectives into a streamlined and headstrong silhouette.A bold and distinctive tooling sits at the heart of the shoe, recalling its archive namesake and more recently the Y3 Qasa. Made from two densities of EVA and with a plate that distributes weight across the tyre-like profile, the Tubular outsole is as comfortable as it is distinctive.
For the Consortium Tubular Runner, the progressive design approach continues above ground-level with its sock-fit upper, which carefully balances contemporary materials and manufacturing techniques with more tactile, traditional details.
Throughout the shoe there are subtle nods to collective memories of adidas’s most popular archive technologies, from the futuristic take on the ghillie lacing system and a laser cut suede interpretation of the ZX7000’s much-loved heel-cage, ensuring that this future-facing shoe is still laced with Originals DNA.
