Converse announces the limited-edition Reigning Champ for Converse Chuck Taylor All Star collection – the latest Converse First String collaboration. Canada based, Reigning Champ is a lifestyle inspired brand that began as a supplier of premium fabric to some of the world’s top street and sportswear brands, and is widely renowned for creating some of the world’s finest fabrics.  For Fall 2012, Converse is working with the Vancouver-based company to blend Reigning Champ’s premium materials to the iconic Chuck Taylor All Star shoe.
Using the classic Chuck Taylor All Star shoe, Reigning Champ lends its heavy-weight terry, jersey fabric to re-imagine the iconic silhouette’s upper. Available in heather grey or navy, both shoes feature ultra-premium construction and subtle details such as a sharp Reigning Champ chambray lining. The result is the familiar Chuck, with a crisp, clean look and feel.  As with all high-quality vintage-inspired fabrics, the use and aging of the Reigning Champ Chuck Taylor All Star shoe will continue to enhance both colorways into beautiful well-worn shades over time. Both shoes are completed with natural color laces and the signature Converse logo on the heel and tongue.
