New adidas Consortium Saturday 4.30.16

adidas Consortium Footpatrol Equipment Running Cushion 93
A classic runner, which nods to another EQT Cushion, all about Comfort
23 years later, The EQT is back.
When it comes to exclusive runs or high-concept collaborations, Footpatrol is the spot in the capital. The narrow, wood- paneled store is the beating heart of London’s sneaker community. The place sneaker-heads meet, the store you call in the days preceding that release, the spot where you might find a model you had forgotten you were even looking for.
For this collaboration, Footpatrol nods to adidas’ history of London inspired footwear. Its EQT Running Cushion 93 is designed with a color palette and detailing reminiscent of the legendary adidas London runner.
Now for a bit of history. The Equipment line was first launched in the early 90s. adidas’ aim was to take things back to basics, to focus on pure performance; to make a running shoe that really worked for runners. By 1993, the Equipment line had various footwear models designed to cater to every type of runner: the Support for supinators; the Guidance for pronators; the stripped-back Racer, and the Cushion, a more supportive model designed to offer all-round comfort.
23 years later, running and running models have evolved, but adidas’ attitude towards performance footwear remains unchanged. The EQT Cushion model has enjoyed a renaissance with a modern generation of sneaker wearers. Nowadays, it speaks to those who like to keep it basic and prefer to keep things understated.

adidas Consortium 10th Anniversary Superstar Pack
In 2005, adidas Originals celebrated 35 years of one of its most iconic silhouettes: the Superstar. As part of the celebrations, a capsule collection of Superstars was created in collaboration with a handful of the world’s most respected footwear retailers and named The Consortium Series.
Ten years on, Consortium has become a mark in its own right, a guarantee of quality in material and construction, a seal of approval from the most important retailers in the sneaker industry. Exploring the archive and more recently employing adidas’s freshest technologies, Consortium has produced some of the brand’s greatest partnerships and collaborations.
Footpatrol:
In 2005 London’s Footpatrol created an understated tonal shoe in military green suede and leather. For their 10th Anniversary Consortium Superstar they have kept the one-color approach, this time delivering a shoe in premium terracotta croc embossed leather. The years 2005 and 2015 are stamped into leather heel tabs, whilst Footpatrol branding is embroidered towards the rear of each shoe in cream. Soft leather lining and pig-skin suede Three-Stripes add tonal texture. As usual materials and construction are of the highest quality with Consortium detailing complimenting the lace aglets, suede sockliner and interior tongue label.

adidas Originals Consortium: Edberg '86 - Footpatrol "Strawberries and Cream"
The signature shoe of one the era’s most seminal players, the Stefan Edberg model was first released in 1986 and made regular appearances on the Serve & Volley legend, soon becoming an essential tennis model both on and off courts. For Summer 2014 adidas Originals and Footpatrol celebrate the return of the Edberg ‘86 with the collaborative “Strawberries and Cream” release.
The Edberg ’86 “Strawberries and Cream” takes inspiration from the Wimbledon Tournament’s traditional dessert, sporting a premium suede construction in strawberry red across its upper and a complimentary cream outsole and terry lining. The shoe is then finished with two-tone three-stripes and embossed joint-branding on the heels. A fitting tribute to the essence of Wimbledon, the Edberg ’86 “Strawberries and Cream” brings a tennis classic back from the archive in perfect form for Summer.
